The Persona
The Persona is a key concept across all communication-driven fields: it is foundational from marketing to writing as well as from storytelling to pitching.
The Persona is different from the 'Audience:' it partly overlaps with that notion but screams for much more. Equally it is much more subtle and articulated as it requires to go beyond data to craft a multitude of functions into a coherent and challenging portrait.
The Persona is the introductory subject to each and every course I deliver. After all, understanding how to get to the other part, applies equally to all modes of communication, from marketing to storytelling, from politics to dating.
